new Roomies, so I moved to apartment 31, it seems like its going to be a great semester. The guys are all pretty cool. Brewer Johnson is from Texas( Arlington I think) he served in Hawaii and has been back for a year. Jerome ____ is from Hawaii, and is half Hawaiian. Brewer met him while serving in his home ward. they are both pretty cool.
David and Stephen Wall are the coolest guys around. they defiantly know how to lift you up when your down and how to pull you down when your too far up :)
they will Defiantly be my life long friends.
the last guy in the apartment is Ryan. All I know about him so far is that he is from LA and that he has a guitar and a cowboy hat on his bed.
I talked to him for about five minutes and that was about it.
The glen woods decided to give apartment 31 a new couch, it is awesome. It's the only one in building one like it. :) I am spoiled.
Class's
so I procrastinated and didn't sign up for class's as soon as I should have so now I am on a waiting list and the only class I was able to get into was a math class which I kinda didn't want to. but oh well. I hope the English and history class wait list goes down soon...
I am terrified about starting school, I have never in my life taken an official math class so this will be pretty crazy.
FHE
on Monday we went up to walls-burg which is a little paradise, it was so much fun. there is a big pond that is almost a lake with a zip-line that runs across it you jump off the zip line into the water the zip line is connected to a 35 foot tower that is right on the edge of the pond. you can jump off of it in to the water. it is one of the coolest things I have ever done. when we went a few weeks ago I jumped off and hit the water on my rear end when i climbed aboard one of the paddle boats my buddy was kind enough to let me know that the impact with the water had blow out my shorts and that you could completely see my bare butt. he was kind enough to take me to shore and grab my towel so I didn't have to stand up. It was pretty funny.
this time I had some much better shorts that I borrowed from one of my roommates.
there is also a 100 foot slip and slide down a huge hill. it was so awesome. we got about ten people to go down it in a train. it was so funny. there is plenty of running space at the top so you can get good speed and then a nice long slope to the bottom. on my second time down I hit a patch of sand that spilled out of a sand bag( sand bags are used to hold the plastic down so it doesn't move while your sliding) and totally roughed up my chest and stomach, I was so red after that. but man was it worth it. we ate hot dogs they were burned but good if you loaded them up with toppings :)
well that is all I have for now.
Until next post-
Colton.
